On April 29, the Financial Technology Research and Development Center of the Securities and Futures Industry (Shenzhen) (hereinafter referred to as the Center), established and operated by SZSE, held the 2018 Research Summary and the 2019 Research Project Report Seminar at the Securities and Futures Industry South Information Technology Center. A total of 80 people, including therepresentatives from CSRC's Information Center, SZSE's Technology Management Committee and CSDC Shenzhen, the consultants of the Center and the research project leaders, attended the meeting and exchanged ideas on the development and application of industry financial technologies.

During the meeting, reports were done on the recent work progress of the Center, some outstanding projects in 2018, and the research content, technical routes, expected results, and schedules of some projects approved in 2019. The FINBUS^TM (SZSE's financial information bus) promotion application plan was also reported. Besides, new consultants of the Center were appointed and excellent projects in 2018 were awarded. The participating experts gave high praise to the Center's work in 2018, including research projects, infrastructure construction, outward cooperation and exchange, participation in supervision technology construction, and FINBUS^TM promotion and application programs. They also provided valuable opinions and suggestions for the future work of the Center.

An SZSE officer said that relevant institutions of the industry have always given great support and cooperation to the Center. It will continue to strengthen micro-innovation, explore diverse communication models and promote its research work to a new level, while combining the development trends of the industry. First, it will focus on the effectiveness of research projects so as to empower business development. Second, it will improve the forward-lookingness of technologies and ensure research quality. Third, it will maintain an open and sharing attitude, and form a joint effort to promote the development of industry technologies.

An officer from CSRC's Information Center fully affirmed the work results of the Center and pointed out that there is a strong demand for industry financial technology research and the application is full of prospects. The Center shoulders important responsibilities and needs to work hard in the long-term. CSRC's Information Center will continue to support the Center's research work, so as to build the Center into a research center, exchange center, innovation center, training center and knowledge center for financial technologies in the industry.

The Center is an industrial public research platform approved by CSRC and its goal is to serve the industry by focusing on the development of financial technology innovation. It is an important responsibility of the Center to organize researches in the industry. Its first batch of projects has been successfully completed nearly one year's hard work, and 10 of them have been rated as excellent. The 2019 project collection was officially launched in January and actively responded by market institutions. 47 projects were approved, covering fields such as intelligent services, intelligent supervision, safe operation, entity portraits and key technology algorithms.
