Recently, the SZSE 2019 "Investor Service Season" serial activities successfully concluded. Since March, SZSE, hand-in-hand with departments within the system, organizing members and industry entities extensively, have continued to carry out nearly 30 investment education activities in various forms in different places. The events carried forward precision education, advocated rational investment, and guided benign interaction between market participants and investors. These online and offline activities have attracted about 3,000 participants, with the number of innovative investment education products reaching 40 million person-time. SZSE's effort of collecting market synergy to promote investor protection and education were effective. Taking the opportunity of the "May 15th, National Investor Protection Promotion Day" initiated by the CSRC, adhere to the requirements of "Four Awes" (Awe of the market, rule of law, professions, and risks) and "One Joint Force" (joint force for supporting the reform and development of capital market), SZSE will continue to deepen the investment education products activities, continuously enhance the capabilities of serving investors, and strive to boost investors education and protection work to a new level.

Innovative Form of Investment Education, Cultivating Rational Healthy Investment Concept

Investor education and service are the fundamental work for maintaining the sustainable development of the capital market. SZSE attaches great importance to and firmly promotes works of the investor education and protection, adheres to the concept of "understanding investors, being close to investors, serving investors", constantly innovates the forms of investment education, enriches the approaches of investment education, expands the carrier of investment education. SZSE's effort in advancing the investor protection work has achieved a result.

Since the launch of the "Investor Service Season" in 2019, SZSE have carried out a number of special activities in rich content, and have continued to publish a variety of original investment education products such as micro-movies and "Market Manuals", etc. The first tranche of "stock theory of relativity" activities adopted a new form of debate for investment education. Institutional and individual investor representatives debated whether "small and medium-sized investors should invest by themselves or hand over to professional institutions for investment". The event allowed investors to speculate and find their right asset allocation method. SZSE released the "2018 Individual Investor Status Survey Report" to comprehensively display the structure and behavior of individual investors in Shenzhen Market, accurately depict "investor portraits". SZSE leveraged traditional culture to create a micro-movie "Father's Stage", integrating family love and healthy investment culture, conveying rational investment, value investment and long-term investment concept. SZSE, accurately matching the risk perception needs of new investors, launched "Investor Handbook (Stock)", to investors, popularizing knowledge, advocating ideas to investors and enhance investors' self-protection ability.

Organize a series of theme activities, enhancing investors' ability of market participation

The majority of small and medium investors are important participants in the capital market. The healthy development of the capital market is closely tied to the growth and maturity of investors. During the "Investor Service Season", SZSE, joining hand with departments within the system, went to Anhui, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Shanghai and other places to carry out a series of theme activities to disseminate rational investment and value investment concepts. The event played a part in promoting the cultivation of mature and rational investors, and in enhancing the investors' ability in participating in the market, laid consolidate investor base for building a dynamic and resilient capital market.

In the "Lecture Hall of Investor Education" activity, experts from SZSE, local CSRC bureaus, CSI Minority Investor Service Center and securities companies shared with investors the macroeconomic situation, rational investment strategies and shareholder rights in listed companies. They also popularized knowledge such as securities investment and shareholder equity. The activity was live broadcast to investors through online platforms, which was spoken highly by investors.

In the "Listed Companies' Open House Program" activity, SZSE organized investors to visit a number of listed companies such as East China Engineering Science and Technology (ECEC), Honglu Steel Structure and NB Medical System. By the visits, investors saw the daily production and operation environment, learned about the companies' future development plans, and carried out face-to-face communication with the senior executives, making listed companies "seeable and knowable" to investors.

In the "Fund Companies' Open House Program" activity, experts and fund managers from China Universal Asset Management, JYAH Asset Management and HuaAn Funds shared with investors topics such as index fund investment. Expert consultations were also held on the spot to help investors understand the basic knowledge of the fund market, choose suitable products, and participate in fund product investment in a rational way.

SZSE also strengthened cross-border investor education cooperation. Together with HKEX, we held the "Hong Kong Stock Connect Listed Companies' Open House Program" activity and organized investors to visit five SZSE Hong Kong Stock Connect listed companies, including Geely Automobile, China Greentown and Greentown Property Service. The goal was to help investors correctly understand cross-border investment under the connection mechanism and lay a solid foundation for rational participation in Hong Kong Stock Connect investment.

Build a long-term mechanism for investor education to improve national financial senses

In order to implement the requirements of the Memorandum of Cooperation on Strengthening the Popularization and Education of Securities and Futures Knowledge by the CSRC and the Ministry of Education, and promote the establishment of rational investment awareness in colleges and universities and the whole society, SZSE kept carrying out popularization activities. During the 2019 "Investors Service Season", SZSE launched the "Youth, Career, and Wealth" TALK Speech Contests in colleges and universities in Anhui. Students talked about their understanding of rational investment and prevention and identification of illegal operation of securities and futures, which stimulated the youthful power of investor education. SZSE also held the "Rational Investment into the Campus" activities in Zhejiang University and Jiangnan University. The business backbones from SZSE and securities companies gave lively and interesting sharing on topics such as students' scientific financial planning and career planning of investment consultants. In this way, the basic financial senses of college and university students have been improved, helping them form a scientific outlook on wealth and on life.

Converge market forces to build an investor protection network

Members play a major role in investor education. SZSE published the Guidelines for Investor Education of Members of Shenzhen Stock Exchange. The goal was to further refine the management content of investor education, strengthen members' awareness of their investor education responsibility, stimulate members' initiative and enthusiasm, and ensure members' effective implementation of investor education. SZSE organized a symposium on members' investor education during the investor education activity held in Jiangsu to introduce the key arrangements for investor education in 2019. Besides, the heads of investor education from 9 member units in Jiangsu and Zhejiang communicated with each other on their investor education practice, including current implementation of investor education, investor education product development, investor education base construction and the promotion of incorporating investor education into national education system. SZSE will continue to guide members to attach importance to and standardize investor education, so as to promote the formation of a joint effort for investor education in the industry.
