On March 25, the final of the 9th China Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition - COVID-19 Prevention and Control Technical Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition was successfully held. The competition is sponsored by the Torch High Technology Industry Development Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology and co-organized by SZSE. Shenzhen Securities Information Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of SZSE, provided support of network information platform. The final adopted the form of online multi-party remote interaction for the first time, organized the participating enterprises to lead online roadshows on the High-tech Zone Technology Financial Information Service Platform and interacted with assessors. The competition is open, transparent and professional and is live webcast throughout the process, attracting wide attention from all sectors of society.

The competition aims to implement the decisions and policies of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council on epidemic prevention and control, and to provide excellent technology-based SMEs that were found to grasp key technology in epidemic prevention and control with more policy support and value-added services, so as to accelerate the application of relevant technological achievements on the frontline of epidemic prevention and control and work and production resumption. Since its start on February 20, the competition has received strong support from science and technology departments all over the country and active response from various SMEs. A total of 1,157 enterprises have signed up for the competition, and their products and services were related to the epidemic prevention and control technology in the aspects of intelligent early warning, new safety protection, rapid diagnosis and detection, medicine, equipment, etc. After the network assessment on the preliminary contests, a total of 23 outstanding enterprises entered the final. Finally, six enterprises from Shanghai, Guangdong and other places stood out among many competitors and won the first, second and third prizes.

Since 2016, SZSE has been the co-organizer of the China Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition for five consecutive years, providing strong platform services and technical support for the competition, and actively facilitated technology-based enterprises to use the V-Next platform to strengthen their connection with upstream and downstream industrial chains and global capital. Next, SZSE will continue to fully implement the requirements of the CSRC, give full play to the functions of the innovation capital formation platform and the advantages of resource allocation to support more technology-based innovative enterprises to make use of the capital market for financing and development.
