The four-week online training service “Fight the Pandemic Together and Facilitate Growth” for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Hubei was recently successfully concluded. The activity conscientiously implemented the plans and requirements of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council on strengthening epidemic prevention and control and business resumption. Jointly launched by the Hubei Provincial Financial Administration, the Shenzhen Stock Exchange (SZSE), the China Capital Market Institute, SZSE’s wholly-owned subsidiary Shenzhen Securities Information Co., Ltd. (SSIC) and Wuhan Equity Exchange, the training was live-streamed remotely via the SZSE investment and financing service platform for innovation and start-ups (V-Next platform). It provided professional, non-profit online services for SMEs across Hubei and was also open to SMEs in other provinces and cities in China. More than 3,000 SMEs, mostly based in Hubei, participated in the online live-streamed training.

The activity mainly focused on the difficulties and concerns of Hubei SMEs during the COVID-19 outbreak. Experts were invited to give lectures on macroeconomic situation, introduction to financing instruments, fiscal and tax support policies, prevention of legal risks, etc. This helps guide the SMEs on how to adapt to situational challenges and achieve transformation and development, make full use of financial and tax policies and so on to expand financing channels, improve efficiency and ease burdens and properly carry out human resources management while containing the epidemic. The training greatly aids SMEs in Hubei and other places of China to resume business in an orderly manner.

After the live streaming, the training videos were shared in the “Online Training for Enterprises” on the V-Next platform. SMEs across the country can log onto the platform and watch the videos online. A representative of enterprises participating in the training said that they gained more comprehensive and clearer understanding of national fiscal and tax policies, financial support policies and relevant laws after listening to experts’ lectures, and that the training helped enterprises solve the difficulties faced during the epidemic containment and provided timely and convenient services for active response to the epidemic and resume production and operation.

A professional, standard, non-profit investment and financing matchmaking information service platform operated by SSIC, the SZSE-guided V-Next platform is committed to serving the growth of SMEs and technology companies, by offering diversified online services through intelligent matching, precision push service and other means based on database resources.
