The Investor Protection Popularization Campaign themed with “Investor Education Trip Promoting Revolutionary Traditions” was recently held in Zunyi of Guizhou Province and Xibaipo of Hebei Province. The event was co-sponsored by the Investor Protection Bureau of China Securities Regulatory Commission (“CSRC”) and SZSE and was undertaken by CSRC Guizhou Branch, CSRC Hebei Branch, Hua Chuang Securities, Caida Securities, etc. It earnestly implemented the requirements of learning and education of the CPC’s history, made good use of the sites and heritage related to the history of the CPC, passed on the traditions of revolution, and practiced in depth the philosophy of “remaining true to the original aspiration and undertaking mission, and bringing tangible benefits to investors”. Meanwhile, centering on investors’ concerns, a series of surveys and training sessions were organized to promote the idea of rational investment and spread the knowledge about red securities.

Zunyi and Xibaipo are two old revolutionary bases in China. Home to important meetings of turning-point significance in the CPC’s history, they have valuable wealth of revolutionary spirits. In the campaign, we organized member units and investor representatives to visit the Zunyi Meeting Memorial Museum and the Xibaipo Memorial Hall and lay wreaths before the Red Army martyrs’ cemeteries to cherish the memory of revolutionary martyrs. SZSE’s senior business backbone staff gave lectures via online video on the development history of securities under the leadership of the CPC to spread the knowledge about red securities among investors, securities-industry workers, and college teachers and students, which has further enriched the form and content of learning and education of the CPC’s history.

In addition, various investor education activities were held together with Haitong Securities, Guotai Junan Securities and Everbright Securities and so on, to help investors form the idea of rational investment and improve risk awareness. First, the campaign was also conducted at securities traders’ business departments, investor education bases, subdistrict communities, etc. to popularize basic securities knowledge, where investors’ questions were answered on the spot and investor opinions were listened to. This has truly brought tangible benefits to investors. Second, in the event, teaching materials including desks, chairs, stationery and sports goods were donated to local schools and lectures on financial quotient education of young people were also given. This is to bring financial enlightenment close to them and promote investor education to be included into the national education system. Third, an activity themed with “Getting Close to Listed Companies” as also held to meet investors’ demand for field survey and actively guided listed companies to carry out investor relations management according to regulations.

Over the past month and more since its launch, the Investor Protection Popularization Campaign themed with “Investor Education Trip Promoting Revolutionary Traditions” has held 63 investor education activities in Jiaxing of Zhejiang, Gutian of Fujian, Zunyi of Guizhou, Xibaipo of Hebei etc., and served nearly 5,000 individual investors, securities-industry workers and college teachers and students. So far the campaign has come to a successful conclusion. In the whole course of the campaign, SZSE, under the unified guidance of CSRC, closely combined the learning and education of the CPC’s history with investor education. We've acquired wisdom and strength from the course of struggle and great achievements of the CPC over the past one hundred years, and tempered our original aspiration and mission about investor education work with the experiences and practices of the CPC over the past 100 years. We went to red bases and the frontline of investor education to popularize securities knowledge and bring tangible benefits to investors. We celebrated the 100th anniversary of the founding of the CPC with practical results of inclusive investor education.
